NUMERO UNO

The number one item we need help with is getting the word out. We need your help in calling and sending messages to astronomers and telescope lovers all over San Diego, Orange County, LA, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and the western states.

If you can even point people to our Web site and tell them the dates, that will help.

If you can do MORE, please contact us at JulianStarfest@expresswire.com

If the Julian Starfest is going to be as successful in 2009, we need YOUR help. We need people to help us spread the word about what a great event this is and what a fantastic astronomical viewing and camping site we have, high in the Cuyamaca Mountains, not far from San Diego.

We WILL find a way to reward you. In the meantime, we need to hear from you. Please send a message to JulianStars@expresswire.com
and let us know that you're available to assist us.

This never appeared in print until now, but the 2008 Julian Starfest attracted somewhere between 1,600 and 2,000 people over three days (depending on whose count you look at).

Other star parties in California in 2008 were reported at 1,200 and below. THUS, some say that the Julian Starfest was the largest star party in California in 2008.

Flushed with this success, the 2009 Starfest Committee is going full-steam towards this year's event, scheduled for the dark of moon on the 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of August, 2009. That's right, one extra night this year.

Please visit: http://www.julianstarfest.com/ for all of the details.
